Your teeth might get stained for several reasons, including drinking much coffee, tea, or sodas. To get your pearly whites back, you can either go to the dentist and get a chemical- filled treatment or use some natural remedies to whiten your teeth.
Fruits that whiten your teeth
Many different fruits can be used as natural remedies to whiten your teeth. For example, you can rub your teeth with the inside of an orange peel for 45 seconds half an hour before brushing your teeth.
You can also make a paste of a strawberry and baking soda, because the former acts as a natural whitening agent. To prepare it you need to crush the fruit and mix it with the other ingredient. Then apply on your teeth and leave it on for 20 minutes once every tw weeks before rinsing your mouth. Wait 30 minutes before brushing your teeth as you usually would.
Other fruit treatments include eating a slice of papaya or apple daily because they strengthen your gums and leave your teeth white. If you’re not a fan of orange peel, you can also rub your teeth for two minutes with the inside of a banana peel. It has salicylic acid that exerts an excellent whitening power and you can use it as many times as you want every day.
Baking soda toothpaste
The most popular and effective natural remedy to whiten your teeth is brushing them with baking soda. You can brush your teeth with baking soda after brushing them with your regular toothpaste. However, there are some people that have stopped using regular toothpaste altogether and only brush their teeth with baking soda.
To follow this treatment you need to pour 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda into a cup and moisten your toothbrush with tap water. Dip your toothbrush in the baking soda so that it sticks and brush your teeth like any other toothpaste.
Keep in mind that baking soda can have a salty or acidic effect in your mouth, but it will leave when you rinse well with water. We recommend doing this once every two weeks to prevent any damage to your teeth.
Brewer’s yeast for white teeth
Brewer’s yeast is one ingredient that is very present in many natural remedies to whiten your teeth. Prepare a homogenous paste with 1 tablespoon of brewer’s yeast, 2 teaspoons of salt, and a little bit of water. Brush your teeth with this preparation as if it were normal toothpaste.
